Debtor Representation

S&M also represents individuals in bankruptcy filings under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13.
Creditor Representation
S&M represents creditors in connection with their interests in bankruptcy matters filed under Chapter 7, 11, and 13 and in non-bankruptcy matters and litigation.
Creditors' Committees
S&M represents official and unofficial creditors' committees in mid-size and large Chapter 11 cases. The Firm has provided advice to committees in a wide variety of industries including retail, hospitality, real estate, golf courses, gaming, and agriculture.
Trustee Representation
S&M represents trustees in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases. In addition to such representation, Lenard E. Schwartzer has served as a Chapter 7 Trustee since 2004.

S&M represents persons and parties desiring to acquire assets from a bankruptcy estate.
Bankruptcy Litigation
S&M represents both plaintiffs and defendants in bankruptcy related litigation, including, without limitation, claims for the nondischargeability of debt, denial of discharge, preferences, fraudulent transfers and fraud, and lien disputes.
Receiverships
S&M represents receivers and other parties in receiverships. In addition to such representation, Lenard E. Schwartzer has often served as a receiver.
Civil and Commercial Litigation
